We have performed across the US and Canada since 1999, and on the way we have garnered several awards, notably "Patron's Favourite Act", "Best Musical Act" and Third Place in the Annual Renaissance Entertainment Awards 2005.

We are unique on the Renfest* circuit - you won't find another act today that combines such high energy antics with sharp wit, banter and not to mention their stunning harmonies & vocal arrangements. However our show easily translates to other formats; including our popular 50's show, the Pirate show and the Valentine's show. Our specialty is a capella singing; but we can also easily work with a band, orchestra or even monkeys. It's been done.

SHOW FORMATS:

The Renaissance show is by far the most popular show. Between 30 - 45 minutes in length, The Limeybirds perform Renaissance Festival standards that we have rewritten with fresh sounds and new arrangements. We perform broadway style and are constantly praised for our colourful and whimsical show that 'takes people away' from the everyday with laughter.

We rate our show as PG - and this is a very conservative PG. Heavy on the double entendres and innuendo. No foul language or overly lewd actions are performed, we pride ourselves on good clean fun that you can bring your kids to, and if they're under the age of 7, they shouldn't get the content. If they watch the WB network?? They're fine. Our silly schtick and zaniness is what the kids see; it's the parents who get the joke! A great brief description:

The Limeybirds are Faith, Charity & Bunnie - 3 strong sisters of song who genuinely love what they do - and boy does that show!
A new take on the "Wench style Act", The Limeybirds present a new style Renaissance show. What sets these gals apart? Drawing on their professional Musical Theatre backgrounds; they have sculpted a wierd, wacky and wonderful 30-40 minute show that envelopes the audience and carries them away.

Using the Standard Renfest tunes that everyone knows and loves plus some Original music; The Limeybirds are an unparalleled vocal group. Add in some sibling rivalry with some competitive choreography..you can imagine the sillyness.

Completing the package is their banter and wit as they are also skilled Improvisational artists. Many a heckler has found out the hard way...these ladies look sweet but they know how to deliver a zinger!

The Pub Show is quite bawdy- rated Not For Children, and is a lot of fun. The show contains double entendres but a is a little bit heavier on the innuendo. Generally performed later in the day, we recommend it be in the "adult" or Pub area of the festival. It really isn't R rated; however it's where we'll end up improvising if the audience seems into it! Still keeping in line with our No Foul Language rule - there isn't any, because we're not that kind of girl. Really.

The YO-HO! Pirate Show

The Limeys are on the loose and they're all Pirated up! (We know that's not a word. But we're Pirates. So we don't care!) 2006 saw a huge rise in Pirate themed popularity. THE POODLE-SKIRTS

The Poodle-Skirts 50's review is one of our other Top favourites! Performed a capella, we present all (well not all!) your 50's & 60's favourites, done up in full 50's regalia, Poodleskirts, bobbi-sox, and ponytails, the whole bit!

This show is a favourite at the "Wentzville Wabash Days" held yearly in Wentzville, MO. We even get the Mayor up dancin'! Also as part of the fun; we feature all the 'Fad Dances' (The Pony, Twist, Stroll and more) AND have a whole lotta fun with some dance contests, hula-hooping contests, coming complete with prizes!

*What is a Renaissance Festival?

If you've never been; they're a real hoot. A full & fun day outdoors as you step back in time. A bit cheesy? You bet. A whole lotta fun? Of course! Costumed entertainers strolling about to re-create the time period. But the Professional Entertainment is dazzling.
